Pre-Training Program (assessments & review)


Step 1. Comprehensive Athlete’s Pre-Training Mental Game Profile (APMGP) Assessment:

  • Initial Intake (problem areas / issues & concerns).
  • Mental Game ‘Inventory’;
  • Goal(s) Assessment;
  • Motivational sources for participation in sport(s);
  • Strengths & Weaknesses Assessment;


Step 2. Comprehensive review, feedback & recommendations:

  • Comprehensive APMGP Summary & ‘Problem Area(s)’ identification -
  • a) Athlete’s mental strengths, capabilities, weaknesses & liabilities are identified
    b) APMGP is generated
    c) Summary of recommendations & target areas for improvement

Training Program


Step 3. Customized Mental Skills Training & Coaching:

  • Discovering athlete’s ‘internal mental game coach’;
  • In-depth overview of mental game strategies, coping skills, techniques, etc. & hand-out of the “Mental Toughness Guide” (for training the ‘inner game’);
  • Special “Mind Gym Skill Pack” exercises – (search for unique ‘performance keys’);
  • Creation & hand-out of the Customized Guides -
  • ==> “Customized Athlete’s Guide” (athlete’s “roadmap for success”)
    ==> “Customized Parent’s Guide” (“the winning parent’s roadmap”)

  • Acquisition of specifically tailored mental game strategies, skills & techniques;
  • Creation of the “Customized Mind Gym Skill Pack” -
    (carefully tailored combination of mental strategies & customized unique ‘performance keys’ to help an athlete optimize his/her strengths & un-block ‘mental barriers’ to unleash full athletic potential).


Step 4. Practice Phase (applying the learned skills in progression):

  • Practice phase;
  • Incremental Progress Benchmarks & Monitoring (IPB&M);
  • Application of learned skills & strategies in competitive environment;

Post-Training Program (monitoring & “self-regulation phase”)


Step 5. Progress Monitoring, Support & Self-Regulation:

  • On-going support (via e-mail, phone conferences, in-person);
  • Transition into the Self-Regulation Phase -
  • (athlete is able to self-monitor, cope & even thrive under pressure situations).

Part one – Comprehensive Evaluation

1. Player is evaluated in practice(s) and competition(s) (via DVD or attending practice / matches) & a comprehensive feedback is provided.

2. Player’s physical, technical and tactical strengths, capabilities, weaknesses and liabilities are more specifically reviewed, explored & identified in 1v1 session(s).

Part two – Personal Training

1. One-on-one customized personal training (all and any aspects are trained)
2. “Best practice modeling” – Video analysis to develop and improve (soccer specific) intelligence
